Karem joined Coach Rehab in November 2025 with a goal of completing his half marathon in December. Although he had been training on his own before joining Coach Rehab, we had only one month together before race day.  Karem completed his first half marathon in 1:45:09, averaging 4:59/km.

Following that achievement, Karem decided to take on a bigger challenge and enter the world of triathlon with the long-term goal of racing a 70.3 Half Ironman.

Starting with no swimming background, we focused on building his swim skills from scratch while continuing to develop his aerobic running foundation. As his fitness progressed, we gradually introduced threshold based training to improve his endurance and performance. Five months later, Karem invested in his first road bike and officially began his cycling journey.

Karem quickly proved himself to be a highly dedicated and coachable athlete. Through a structured block-periodized approach, we developed his swim, bike, and run fitness while incorporating brick sessions, race simulations, and specific triathlon preparation to ensure he was ready for his first triathlon race.

In May 2026, Karem successfully completed his first triathlon, delivering an outstanding performance and executing the race exactly as planned. Just one month later, after six months of structured training, he returned to racing and achieved a major breakthrough in his second half marathon, running sub-1:29, improving by more than 16 minutes from his previous personal best.

Today, Karem continues to build toward his first IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań in August, while our long-term vision extends far beyond a single race. Together, we are working toward qualifying for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship by 2028, focusing on sustainable development, consistent. progression, and unlocking his full potential as an endurance athlete.
